Wear this ribbon to show your support for the World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty and of the text written on it:-
" Wherever men and women are condemned to live in extreme poverty, human rights are violated. To come together to ensure that these rights be respected is our solemn duty. "

The weaving design on the ribbon represents links between people. Its many colours reflect the diversity of all those who recognize their struggle in these messages, and who affirm that extreme poverty is not inevitable.

Along with this ribbon, other symbols can be worn. Some might choose to add to it the whiteband of the “Global Call Against Poverty” campaign. Others might add a reminder of a loved one; others might attach the badge of an organization that is important to them…
